Excellent Customer Service with a Welcoming Smile
Silerny the girl from Elite Collection received us on our arrival. She was noticeably nice and funny. Her spoken English was really good, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Our stay here was a few days, we will be sure to stay here again because of the excellent customer service Silerny showed us!
Elite Collections Experience
My wife and I had the opportunity to look at the Elite Collection packages and offers. Welinthon was the sales person who initially introduced us to this vacation package. He was very helpful and informative on what the Elite Collection has to offer and there were no surprises when we met with the staff and listened to their presentation!
Welinthon was also helpful to my family and I throughout our two week vacation. Keep up the great work Welinthon!

We would like to express our appreciation and thanks to Jose Cid from Elite Collection for the excellent service and care that we had received at the all-inclusive Emotions by Hodelpa in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
The hotel provides great quality service. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Jose Cid and the hotel team had definitely devote their best effort in showing their concern for our comfort.
Wonderful relaxing vacation
Excellent place to come and relax, great beach, great bars, great place to just be laid back and yourself. Roberto in Opus is the best ever bartender and will look after you like family.
Roberto in the buffet is wonderful and will look after all your needs. Xiomara in the Elite (RCI) office is phenomenal and does everything she can to make your stay the best!!

You answered all of our questions and always made sure that our dinner reservations were made–and when we forgot, you took care of it for us. Angel–same for you. Beautiful property and great service
First time in Playa Dorada. Glad it was with Emotions. It was a beautiful property with spacious rooms. Easy access to beach. Great service, especially from Elite Collection Guest Services. Xiomara was the best and took care of all our needs. The other staff was also pleasant and nice.
Variety of restaurants to choose from, but there should be an option to make reservations. Since it was low season, we lucked out to be seated quickly but I’m not sure if it would be so quick during peak season. Definitely would come back to this resort.
I Love Emotion Resort by Hodelpa
My favorite resort in Puerto Plata. I love that is clean, food was good, and the staff are amazing. Rosmery Castano and Yurison from the Elite where my favorites. They made sure our stay was amazing. I hope they still there when I have my wedding.
Yes, I love this place so much that I am planning on having my wedding there. I been there 2 times already, we just got back home from visiting Emotion and we already planning on going back in November. I highly recommend this resort.
Feels like home to us
If you are looking for a smaller beachfront resort with all the amenities, easy walking, well maintained, super friendly staff, good food, nice beach with access to miles for walking and in view of Mt Isabel for incredible views, then visit the Emotions resort in Playa Dorada. The pools are a little small if you like the big resort pools but definitely adequate for our needs.
There are lots of day excursions to pick from if that is your thing, we saw Hector on the beach this year from Sea Pro and he hooked us up with a great day of deep sea fishing out of Sosua, everything was arranged and we had a great day. There are lots of vendors on the beach, a strip mall within a 3 minute walk and the resort has its own nice shops for whatever you might be looking for. Our house maid Leonidos was excellent and looked after us the entire time, Maria at the beach bar has the biggest smile and makes great drinks and Carlos from concierge is a man of action to get things done! All 3 a la carte restaurants were excellent and the buffet has some great dishes for dinner, you must try the fresh cooked pasta bar. Morning cooks make eggs the way you want with a smile…
We are fortunate to be new members and plan to return very soon to spend time with Roberto at the Opus bar and Hennisis at Aroma who are both great people and excellent at what they do including our Elite Collection crew at the front desk! This was our second visit and plan to head back again very soon as it feels like home!
Beyond our Expectations!
We didn’t really know what to expect in the Dominican Republic but this resort met every expectation we could have had. We were picked up as arranged by the resort, taken directly to the Elite Office and were provided topnotch service at every turn. We were at the resort for two weeks and enjoyed each of the restaurants on site, including Aroma, the Elite restaurant.
Each meals was well done, well presented and tasty. We would have preferred more selections but what we ordered was always good. The Mexican, Italian and Dominican restaurants were also very good. The Opus bar, where the bartenders mixed the drinks individually instead of using a dispenser, was our favorite.
The staff was wonderful. Each time we were approached by an employee they were very friendly and willing to assist in any way. We did not go to the casino or the shows as were tended to spend most of our time on the beach or asleep! We especially were taken with the Elite staff and our new friend, Oscar Cohn.
Oscar sought us out daily and was truly a delight to speak with. He arranged to take us on an outing to a restaurant as recommended by Juan Pablo, where we enjoyed the largest lobster dinner I have ever had! I’ll have to remember to bring Juan Pablo his whiskey when we come back! …
